Karelsoccer was established by Karel Prochazka in 2009, insipired by the European model he experienced in his home country Czech republic. Karel has been playing soccer from when he was 8 all the way through college. He later found passion in coaching soccer and has coached at ABC Branik and Sparta Praha, before moving to the United States. He first coached competitive soccer at San Juan Soccer Club and Capital Valley United.
Later in 2004 Karel also began coaching a El Camino High School and coached Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity in both boys and girls and has coached ever since. His longlife impression from soccer in the United States is that there is a large number of great athletes, who sometimes lack basic skills. Even in younger age groups the gap between players in Europe and in the United States seems to be significant. Karel feels that working with young players in a year long model can provide those players with the proper skills and attitudes they need to become successful in the sport. He also feels strongly about teaching children the value of hard work, fair play, and humility in order to become better people.
